Layout of the Finca
While driving down the path you will arrive at the big black gate of Casa Rosalia. You open the gate, and drive another 5 meters down where you can park you car under the shady pergola. On the right you will see the swimming pool (7 x 4 m, descending to more than 2 m of depth). There is enough space to sunbathe around the pool on the deckchairs. Next to the swimming pool is the outdoor bathroom, with a big showering space, toilet and washbasin.
The house:
You enter the Casa via the patio, which is provided with a comfortable lounge set. The living room is furnished with a wood burning stove, ceiling ventilator and air conditioning. The big open kitchen is specially made and built in a modern Andalusian style. It is equipped with a dishwasher, a big refrigerator-freezer combination, and a gas burner with electric oven. Cooking is done by gas bottles, which are stored outside in a “gas casita”. A microwave, toaster, water boiler and coffeemaker are also provided for. There is a wide range of pots, pans and casseroles, and the plates, cups, glasses and cutlery are all for 6 people.
From the living room you walk towards the hallway; from here you can enter the three bedrooms and the bathroom.
The largest bedroom is situated at the end of the hallway. In this room there is a big double bed (1.80 x 2 meter), a wardrobe, two bedside tables, a ceiling ventilator and air conditioning.
Next to this bedroom is the second, spacious bedroom. This one also is provided with a ceiling ventilator, wardrobe and two bedside tables. There are two single beds that can be easily put together into one twin bed.
Then you will find the bathroom, with toilet, bidet, washbasin and bathtub, with a rain shower.
Towels are well provided for.
To the right of the bathroom is the 3rd bedroom, spacious too. This room is also provided with two single beds that can be attached to a make a big twin bed, a ceiling ventilator, wardrobe and bedside tables.
From the kitchen you walk outside to our little square, with a big olive tree and two palm trees.
Here you will find the outdoor kitchen, with a large barbecue, kitchen sink, and storage of wood. Close to the outdoor kitchen stands the big Moroccan mosaic dining table, with eight comfortable chairs, where you can have meals or dinners in a lovely shady place.
When walking down from the square you pass our own water tower, a storage room and at the bottom a former chicken coop. From here you can walk through the orchard down a steep path to a (usually dry) stream.
Underneath the swimming pool is the washing machine.
If necessary a cot or extra bed can be placed.
All windows are equipped with mosquito screens, bamboo roller blinds and shutters.
Dogs are welcome, smoking is only permitted outside.
